Missing data from repeat groups using ODK Briefcase v1.4.5

Dear ODK Experts,
I have a questionnaire with some loops respectively repeat groups within. Unfortunately I have some problems to bring the data from the repeat groups to the final Excel file with the aggregated data.
My procedure is:

  1. Drag and drop the finalized instances from the tablets to my pc.
  2. Pull the data with ODK Briefcase v1.4.5 by custom path to ODK directory.
  3. Than export to aggregated data.
However the repeat group data is intact in the raw data, they are not visible in the final excel file. Do you have any suggestions how to deal with this problem? Thanks a lot and best regards!
    Sebastian

Repeat groups are exported as separate CSV files, one file for each
repeating group, with each file containing all the submission data for that
repeating group.

The rows in the repeating group are linked back to the parent form
submission via the PARENT_KEY column in the repeating group and the KEY
column in the parent form submission.

If you have a lot of repeat groups, and want the data flattened so that the
parent form data is replicated for all of the repeat groups, you should
look into using the Fusion Tables publisher, as it will automatically
create a view that does this.

An alternative to Google Fusion tables (if you need to remain offline in
analysis) is using the odkmeta Stata program developed by Matt White. This
also creates a single flattened master file (as well as provides value and
variable labels for the flattened and long data), and works very well.

Hey Lloyd, thanks for the hint! Unfortunately we do not use Stata. As far
as I know it is a precondition to use ODKmeta, isn't it?

odkmeta does require Stata.
