NOTE: With daylight savings time the call time might shift one hour from previous months if you are in a daylight savings time area

Please post below topics you would like to discuss at the meeting

At this call I’d like to talk about ODK 2 docs, as usual. They’re live at docs.opendatakit.org/odk2 and I want to encourage everyone to start using those as the canonical version, as well as provide some instructions for how to contribute, and discuss some areas that might need work (both in my opinion and as a question for the community).

We will post a preliminary design document for peer-to-peer synchronization on Sunday. Please take a look and let us know what you think.

Is it similar to Device to device form transfer project which has been proposed under GSoC 18?

They are similar in that they both will enable decentralized communication between 2 (or more) mobile devices in a disconnected environment. This would pretty much be where the similarity ends. The way Collect transfers data is different from how the ODK2 tool suite transfers data, so the 2 projects will end up looking quite different. You can read more about how the data transfer process is different here. Selecting the Appropriate Tool Suite — ODK-X Docs
