ODK Collect v1.25 Beta: map of all filled forms, Likert scale, audit enhancements

This is intended to be the final beta for v1.25 in preparation for a release on or around December 11th.

ODK Collect betas are an opportunity to get community feedback on upcoming releases. If you have an ongoing data collection campaign, we recommend quickly verifying your form on a test device. The release will be delayed until all reported issues are fixed.

Joining the beta program
To join the beta program, find ODK Collect in the Play Store on your device (not in the web browser) and scroll all the way down. Please don't join the beta with a device or account actively used for data collection! In particular, note that joining the beta is account-based. If you use the same Google account across multiple devices, do not join the beta with that account.

Leaving the beta program
You can leave the beta program from the bottom of the Play Store at any time. Once you leave, you will get the next production update when it is released. If you need to go back to the previous production release, uninstall and reinstall the app. Your settings will be reset but your forms will remain (though backups are always recommended).

What to check in this release

Extra testing
If you have some time, please also verify the other changes in the release notes:

Thanks to all testers for your help!

Hi
This is great. It works on my device (huawei mate 10 pro)
Will it be possible in future to make this feature also for lines and polygons?

Hi
It's much better.
Not my favorite style, but I think I can life with it
I hope that you don't misunderstood me. The hole community is great and I know you all work hard to make odk much better as it already is

That is the intent! I will try to remember to tag you when there is a concrete proposal for how those will be displayed so that you can share your thoughts. I also encourage you to watch the Features category for that.

Thank you! It is hard to balance all the very different user needs and contexts and I really appreciate you saying that. :blush:I'm glad that we were able to come up with a compromise you can live with!

Hi @LN,
Thanks for that, I also think it is a good compromise ! My colleagues will have to scroll a little bit more but I think it will increase collected data veracity and as a consequence less correction on the computer

Hi @LN, thanks for the change. I am now using v. 1.25.1 but I noticed another little thing that broke my formulas. In previous versions a text string question left empty would result with an apostrophe in the cell. Since version 1.25 there is a blank space instead. In the first case with the apostrophe, cell="" would give TRUE as if the cell was empty. Since the change, with the blank space the same formula gives FALSE which is not the intended use.

But if the text string answer has still the apostrophe for the raw value, why the behavior isn't maintained when the answer is left empty?

Thanks for your support
